The Cedar Valley Vigilantes are a non-profit SASS Affiliated Cowboy Action Shooting Club, proud home of GUNSMOKE, the SASS MIDWEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. We are dedicated to re-living the Spirit of the Old West.  We shoot original or replica Old Western era firearms (pre-1900) at steel targets. We compete against ourselves, each other, and of course, the clock...all for fun! We hold bi-monthly shooting matches on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, starting in April, and continuing through October, weather permitting. Our primary goal is safety; first, last, and always. We believe all participants should have a great time while they are here. We have a state of the art Cowboy Action Shooting facility, built as an actual western town. Each shooting lane is separated by an 8 ft. high railroad tie wall, re-enforced for maximum safety. We like fairly large close targets, and un-complicated shooting scenarios. So if your looking for one heck of a good shooting club and friendly folks, come on out and join us. Everyone is welcome.

The April 5th work day is cancelled. Still snow covered on the range.

2014 Schedule addition - August 2nd monthly match will be an 8 stage event. It will be called the "Doily Gang Postal Shoot" It is a fund raising event for the SASS Scholarship Fund. We will shoot 4 stages in the morning, then break for a pot-luck lunch, then shoot the last four stages. It should be a lot of fun, so we encourage everyone to mark their calendars and be there.
